Privacy Notice

Last updated: 30 October 2026

This notice explains how Rose & Fire Therapy uses the personal information you give me through the enquiry form on this website. It does not cover what happens once we begin working together; that is explained separately at the start of therapy.

Who I am

I am Nicol Batra, a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), practising as Rose & Fire Therapy. I am the “data controller” for the information you send me, which means I decide how and why it is used. You can contact me on 07713 318 336.

What I collect

When you use the consultation form I ask for your name, phone number and email address. You can also choose a preferred location and time, and add an optional short note. I also record that you ticked the consent box. Please keep any note brief: there is no need to include detailed personal or health information, as we can talk it through in the consultation.

Why I use it, and my lawful basis

I use these details only to reply to your enquiry and to arrange a free consultation. My lawful basis is your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. If you choose to share health-related information in your note, that is “special category” information, and by including it you explicitly consent to me using it to reply to you. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting me.

Who else handles it

Only I read your enquiry. To make the form work I use other companies to process information on my behalf: Netlify, which hosts this website and receives the form submissions, and my email provider, which delivers the enquiry to me. These companies may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where this happens, I rely on the safeguards in their data protection terms. I do not sell your information, and I do not use it for marketing.

This website

This website loads fonts and icons from Google Fonts and cdnjs, so those providers receive your IP address when a page loads. Netlify may also keep standard server logs. The website does not use advertising or analytics tools.

How long I keep it

I keep enquiry details only for as long as I need them to reply and arrange a consultation. If an enquiry does not lead to therapy, I delete it once I have replied and no further contact is needed.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information I hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, ask me to restrict or stop using it, or withdraw your consent, by contacting me on the number above. If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
